Rice flour muffins

Ingredients:
Rice flour - 2 cups
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Baking powder - 1.5 tsp
salt - pinch
sugar - 3/4 cup
Egg - 2 large
Oil - 1.5 tbsp
Milk -1/2 cup
Banana mashed - 1 cup

Method:
  • Sieve flour,baking powder , baking soda and salt for even mixing.
  • In another bowl, mix sugar, egg, oil, milk and banana.
  • mix well until sugar dissolves.
  • Pour wet ingredients over dry flour mixture and fold gently.
  • Preheat oven 180 degree for ten minutes.
  • Pour in muffin mould and bake for 25 minutes.

Whole wheat Choclate muffin

Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour - 3/4 cup
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cocoa powder - 1/8 cup
salt - pinch
Water - 1/2 cup
Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
Vanilla extract -1/2 tsp
Grated Jaggery /Cane sugar - 1/2 cup

Method:
  • Sieve wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder twice to mix evenly.
  • Take another bowl, add water, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, sugar. Stir well until sugar dissolves.
  • Pour wet ingredients to dry ingredients and fold gently. Don't overmix.
  • Preheat oven to 180 degree for ten minutes.
  • Take a scoop of batter and fill the muffin pan to 3/4th, and bake for 25 minutes.

Wheat flour and Oats Cookies

Ingredients:
Oats - 1/4 cup
Wheat Flour - 3/4 cup
Baking soda - pinch
Coconut, grated - 4 tsp
Chocolate strands - 3tbsp
Thick curd - 3 tbsp
Honey - 4tbsp
Olive oil - 3tbsp
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

Method:
  1. In a bowl, mix -> Flour, oats, soda,coconut, chocolate strands.
  2. Another bowl mix-> Curd, oil,honey and vanilla essence.
  3. Now make a dent in flour mixture, add curd mixture and fold. Dont overmix.
  4. Preheat oven 170 deg for 10 minutes.
  5. Bake cookies for 20 minutes.

Choco Chip Cookies



All purpose Flour - 1 cup
Icing Sugar - 1/3 cup
Butter - 1/3 cup
Choco chips - 1/3 cup
Vanilla essence - 3/4 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp
Milk - 1 tbsp


  1. Cream butter and then add sugar to it. Add vanilla essence and mix well
  2. Sieve all purpose flour, baking soda and baking powder to spread evenly.
  3. Add to butter mixture.
  4. Make dough, if it is too hard sprinkle some milk. Dough has to be soft.
  5. Now add choco chips and mix well.
  6. Pre- heat oven for 10 min at 180 deg.
  7. In the meanwhile shape the cookies and keep it ready.
  8. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
  9. Cool down in a wire rack.

Carrot cake

Maida - 1 cup
Egg - 2
Butter - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Curd - 2 tbsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
salt - pinch
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
Milk - 2 tbsp
Grated carrot - 1/2 cup

  1. Whisk eggs until bubbles comes.
  2. Then add butter and whisk it.
  3. Add sugar and mix until sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Then add maida, curd, baking powder, salt, essence, milk and grated carrot. whisk all together without any lumps.
  5. Transfer to greased tin.
  6. Preheat oven at 180 degrees.
  7. Bake it for 35 - 40 minutes.




  • Cake is moist and tastes awesome. 
  • Could not able to take picture of full cake as my kids finished once i take it out of oven... :-)

Garlic Roll

I made this roll using homemade multigrain atta, it has come out good but not as soft as maida roll. But when we see for healthy one, this is the best. Followed the recipe from sharmispassions.com 


For Bread:
Multigrain atta - one and a half cup
Plain Flour - 1/2 cup
Warm water - 3/4 cup
Milk - 2 tbsp
Active Dry yeast - 1/2 tbsp
Salt - 1tsp
Sugar - 1/2 tbsp
Butter - 1/2 tbsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp

For garlic spread:

Salted Butter - 2 tbsp
Minced garlic - 6 cloves
Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

  1. Add warm water, milk, oil, sugar and salt. Add yeast to it and dissolve completely. Then add all flours and knead it to a soft sticky dough.
  2. Keep the dough in warm place for one hour and cover it. Dough will raise.
  3. Now knead it again with 1/2 tsp oil and spread as 1/2 inch thick chapatis and spread buttered garlic spread. Keep some spread aside for topping.
  4. Roll from one end to other. Cut into 6 pieces.
  5. Keep in a pan and apply some oil on top. Then apply some spread and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  6. Now allow to raise for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven for 180 degrees, keep the tin near oven.
  8. Now bake it for 25-30 minutes.








  • Dough should be slightly sticky.

Vanilla cake

All purpose flour - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup [ Powder it]
Butter - 1 cup
Egg - 2
Fresh curd - 2 tbsp
Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
Baking Powder - 1 tsp



  1. Whisk egg followed by butter.
  2. Then add powdered sugar and whisk.
  3. Add maida ,curd, essence,baking powder and whisk without forming lumps.
  4. Transfer to greased baking pan.
  5. Preheat the cooker for 5 minutes in high flame.
  6. Keep the baking pan inside cooker and cover the pan with lid.
  7. And also cover the cooker with some plate. Dont close with cooker lid.
  8. Simmer the flame and wait until cake smell comes.
  9. After few minutes, cake is ready!!
  10. If oven is used for baking, set the temperature to 180 degress and bake it for 35 - 40 minutes.[Don't fail to preheat for 10 minutes]
